On October 9th, 2016, I will be running in the Chicago Marathon. In addition to fulfilling a personal goal of running another marathon, I am supporting Asha for Education because I believe that education should be accessible to everyone. Asha for Education is an international non-profit organization with a primary focus on basic education in India. I feel very privileged have had access to good a education and I don’t take it for granted. That is why I have decided to partner up with Asha and do good in our global community.

By providing access to education to underprivileged children, Asha aims to catalyze socio-economic change and decrease child labor. Asha supports grass roots initiatives in deprived and marginalized communities and addresses issues affecting human life such as health care, environmental and socio-economic issues, women’s issues, human rights issues, etc.
