Over the past couple of years, our team at Asha for Education Canada has been trying to figure out a new way to continue to grow.
We’re like the train in the children’s book – that kept saying “I think I can, I think I can”, because at the end of the day, if we make an impact on a single child, to get an education or access to a better education, our purpose is served.
Asha for Education Canada has been present in Canada for almost 20 years. Our 20th anniversary will be coming up later in the year. We have gone through many iterations of volunteers, executives, projects, and donors. All of them have given a small piece of their lives to help the organization move in the right direction, and into the future.
We’re a part of the Asha for Education network, which can be found in many countries, including Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States. Combined, millions of dollars are raised annually, and provided to projects all across India.
Like a child who outgrows their clothes, and is required to start fresh with a new wardrobe, we’re looking to do the same thing here. We’ve cleared up all of the old blogs, and will be writing more about the projects we’ve funded in the past, and we’re planning to fund in the future. We’re also looking to introduce some of our volunteers, and hopefully even plan to have live events with some of the projects we’ve funded in India.
